Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has issued a stern warning, declaring his intent to sign a death warrant for any informant caught collaborating with bandits in the state.

The governor delivered this uncompromising message during a sympathy visit to the residents of Tudun Bichi in Wasagu Chiefdom of Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area, expressing his condolences for the recurrent attacks by bandits.

Expressing outrage at the nefarious deeds of informants, Governor Idris threatened to authorize the death penalty for convicted accomplices.

"The actions of informants defy all moral standards and religious principles. For a meager sum, some individuals betray their own community by providing vital information to bandits, enabling them to wreak havoc on innocent lives," he stated emphatically.

"I will neither tolerate nor show leniency towards such unscrupulous individuals. Let it be known to all informants that anyone convicted for aiding bandits in their heinous crimes will face immediate execution," the governor warned.

Governor Idris also pledged continued support for security agencies, emphasizing the importance of logistics, troop welfare, and other resources essential for operational effectiveness and success.

Furthermore, he accepted the urgent need for the rehabilitation of a three-kilometer road connecting the village with Wasagu, which has become impassable due to a collapsed bridge, assuring swift action to address the issue.
