Nigerians are reacting to news of Justice Kehind Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos granting N10 million bail to businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest.

EFCC had filed a three-count charge against Cubana Chief Priest for abusing the naira at a social event, an act said to be contrary to the provisions of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

When the charges were read to him, he pleaded not guilty and was thereafter granted bail.

Nigerians have taken to social media to react to the news. A Nigerian pointed out that the EFCC failed to release a mugshot of Cubana neither did they share any post mocking him as they did to Bobrisky. Another person mentioned that Bobrisky's lawyers must have graduated with a BSc to have advised him to plead guilty when he was arraigned last Friday, April 17.

Do people understand this case at all???
From my own understanding.  Idris Okuneye (Bobrisky) pleaded guilty from the beginning of the trial. Hence he was sentenced straight away.
If you pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity. Then your case doesn't need to go into trial. Hence there would be no case for you to be given bail.
Cabana Chief Priest pleaded not guilty and his case would now go for trial.
The issue now is whether to remand him in custody or grant him bail, so he'll be coming from home fir the trial which would be coming up in May.
The judge granted him a conditional bail of 10 million naira which he was able to meet. Otherwise,  he'll be remanded in custody pending the commencement of the trial.
Meeting the bail conditions doesn't mean he has been found guilty and was able to pay the fine.
Why are people ignorantly hailing him as if he made a fool of EFCC at the court?
His trial is yet to start for crying out loud. People should stop making fool of themselves.
I've got nothing against him at all. If he's found not guilty after the trial. That's fine.
Meeting a bail conditions doesn't translate to victory in court.
Ignorance is a crime

..THE PROBLEM PEOPLE HAVE WITH THIS LATEST EFCC PALAVA IS THAT BOBRISKY COOPERATED WITH THE PROSECUTOR AND THE COURT AND WAS ALSO OF GOOD BEHAVIOUR. FOR PLEADING GUILTY HE MADE THE  CASE EASIER FOR THEM AND THE COURT SHOULD HAVE GIVEN HIM AN OPTION OF FINE FOR MERCY SAKE.  TO ME THIS IS NOT A CRIME BUT AN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFENCE. SPRAYING OF NAIRA HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PART OF NIGERIAN TRADITION OR CULTURE EVEN BEFORE THE JUDGE AND EFCC OFFICIALS WERE BORN. BOBRISKY CASE WAS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED. BOBRISKY WAS REPRESENTED BY UNEDUCATED LAWYER. OTHERWISE HE SHOULD NOT HAVE PLEADED GUILTY AT ALL. EFCC SHOULD HAVE BEEN FORCED TO PROVE THAT THE MONEY BOBRISKY SPRAYED WERE  ACTUALLY NAIRA NOTES AND NOT ORDINARY PRINTED PAPERS.
