It is definitely going to be the ‘clash of the titans’ following reports that two talented African actresses, Yvonne Okoro and Mercy Johnson, are facing each other in an upcoming movie project.

The beautiful actresses have never been cast together in a movie. Yvonne Okoro made her screen debut in 2002 with ‘Sticking To The Promise’ while Mercy Johnson made hers in 2004 in the movie, ‘The Maid’.

The two actresses are among the top movie talents on the African continent. They are exceptionally skilled in role interpretation.

Both actresses are gifted with heavy and succulent boobs. While Mercy likes flaunting her boobs, Yvonne liked covering hers until she recently exposed them at the African Movie Academy Awards in Lagos.

An opportunity for the two to act together won’t only be a moment of testing great talents but exposing great sexy ‘powerhouses’ in African cinema.

A source close to both Ghana and Nigeria movie industries told NEWS-ONE that a casting agency managed to cast the two dark-skinned actresses to feature in a movie which would be partly short in Ghana.

The reason for pairing the two was to achieve a strong characterization that had never been seen before in Africa.

Both actresses have countless movies and awards to their credit.  Mercy was a winner of the Most Outstanding Actress of 2011 at the Afro-Australian Music and Movies Awards (AAMMA). She also emerged overall Best Actress in a Leading Role at the inaugural Nollywood Movies Awards this year.

Yvonne is a co-winner of the Best Actress Award at the 2010 Ghana Movie Awards and two-time African Movie Academy Awards nominee.

She was recently honoured with a Distinguished Achievement Award at 2012 Nigeria Excellence Awards in Ghana chaired by His Excellency, Ambassador Musiliu Obanikoro, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Ghana.

Yvonne has been nominated for the Pan African Actress category of the Nigeria Entertainment Award for her role in ‘Single Six’ from the stables of Venus Film. The award ceremony is scheduled for New York from August 31 to September 2.

She is competing with other actresses; Ama Abebrese- ‘Ties That Bind’, Juliet Ibrahim- ‘Crazy Scandal’, Kudzai Sevenzo- ‘Playing Warriors’, Jokate Mwegelo- ‘Chumo’ and Millicent Mahheido- ‘48’.

The awards are based entirely on fan votes, and so fans are encouraged to vote online and via SMS.

Online voting begins on August 1, while fans in Nigeria can vote via SMS now.
