He died on Wednesday inside his country home in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State at the age of 88.
THEWILL gathered from sources that the former Chairman of the disbanded Federal Electoral Commission (FEDECO) passed on having been in coma for a while.
Ovie-Whiskey also served as Chief Judge of the defunct Bendel State when he was appointed Chairman of FEDECO by then President Shehu Shagari in 1983, to conduct the general elections which was eventually rigged in favour of the then ruling National Party of Nigeria (NPN).
He was born on April 6, 1924.
