Gunmen kill MDGs official in Kaduna

Gunmen at the weekend killed a desks officer with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Iliya Chori, in Kaduna, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Abubaka Jinjiri Mohammed, has said.
It was gathered that Chori was trailed by the gunmen to his house located at No. 38 Ohinoyi Road, Ungwan-Rimi GRA in Kaduna.

“Chori work as the Kaduna State Assistant Focal officer of the MDGs and was on secondment from the state’s Ministry for Health. Nothing was taken from him by the gunmen,” a close associate of the deceased, Joshua Sani said.

The commissioner of police said investigation into the matter has commenced.
