Hello Naijapals, what do u think of the recent out burst of Mr. President (Yar’Adua) about the non inclusion of Nigeria in the G20 summit, while nations like Saudi Arabia, an oil producing nation like ours, and South Africa were invited.

In my opinion, I think our reputation as a corrupt nation is preceding us at a fast pace. Nigeria has earned a reputation as a nation that gives what she lacks. Take for instance the issue of peace keeping. There is no peace in Nigeria, not with ethnic, religious and political crisis, yet we are the best when it comes to peace-keeping mission abroad. Epileptic power supply is the bane of the nation but we give uninterrupted power supply to neighboring countries like Niger e.t.c

For me, I think it we do not have business in the G20 summit. When are yet to stabilize our economy, how then do we expect to contribute to the stability of the world’s economy? What I think we should do for now is to research ways we can revitalize our economy before trying to help the world.
This is my opinion and I am subject to correction if wrong. So what is your take on this?
