Good News:Imo State free education 4 tertiary students Start September 2012!!!

THE Imo State government has announced its intention to commence free education for indigenes in the state's own tertiary institutions next month.

Addressing students union government officials from Imo State chapter, who called on him at the weekend in Owerri, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Anwukah, said the Governor Rochas Okorocha's administration has approved the programme, adding that the intension was desirable and dear to the government in view of the need to bring up young ones.

Anwukah appealed to the students to be peaceful in all their dealings, using the opportunity to brief them on the activities of the state government, including urban renewal, health, agriculture, infrastructural development among others.   In his speech, the chairman of the group, Elemchi Oke, said they had come to appreciate efforts of the state government to reposition things including education for better.
