What do you think about Governor Isah Yuguda leaving ANPP and Joining PDP. What does the NIgerian Constitution says when a governor is elected under the platform of a political party and then leave the party while he is still on throne?

u know it really sucks when i heard that he is even dreaming of leaving a party that made him the governor of the state. i am from that state and blive me the people of bauchi made him the governor because he clearly stated that he has nufin to do wiv the PDP. PDP is a forgotten party in bauchi we wanted a different rule a different party and a different face to rule us. PDP is a shame it has practically led the entire people of bauchi state down and now isa yuguda wants to go back to the party that rejected him at first a party that could even make an incubent governor go the senate house a party full of corruption hmmmm i really feel sorry for my people and i also feel sorry for isa yuguda cos he will tarnish is political career and the trust we had in him......................... Bauchi state need to be taken away from men wiv nufin in their mind but but their self and their families ( selfish interest thats wat i call it)  I AM DISAPPOINTED AND I FEEL ASHAMED OF ISA YUGUDA (if its really true) POLITICS IN NIGERIA IS A THING OF SHAME SELFISHNESS AND DISGRACE MAY ALLAH IN HIS INFINTE MERCIES HELP US ALL AMEEEEEEEN.......

The Constitution does not say anything about it. It was the 2007 Electoral Act that was supposed to address it. I dont know if it does. It is quite unfortunate that carpet crossing is now a recurrent decimal in our body polity. It will not do any good to our so called nascent democracy. However, before we cry too much, we should remember that Mallam Isah Yuguda crossed to ANPP from PDP in 2007, due to a fight with Muazu.
Let's keep our fingers cross. I saw this coming. Sometime a fortnight ago, there were some reports that he (Yuguda) is to replace Soludo as Governor of central bank. He said he knew nothing about it. That all he knows is that he was elected by the Bauchi people. & that is the job he is about. Now we will know.
