on the planet Usain Bolt could be set to play in a
friendly for Manchester United against Real Madrid
next year.
Jamaican sprinter Bolt has frequently expressed his
desire to play for United and urged fans to persuade
Ferguson to sign him up in an appearances on the
picth before United’s 3-2 Premier League win over
Fulham at Old Trafford.
And the Scot could now be ready to hand Bolt his
chance to impress.
Ferguson told Inside United magazine: “Usain’s a
character and a big United fan.
“But it’s interesting he says he’d like to play in a
charity game. It could be brilliant, and next year
when we play Real Madrid’s Legends again, there
could be opportunities to bring him up and see how
he does.”
Bolt, 25, has previously trained with the United squad
and previously hinted that he would be prepared to
leave Athletics for a spot in the Red Devils line-up.
