UPDATE 1. The Governor's Legs Were Completely Broken and Has Been Transferred To National Hospital Abuja
The newly elected Governor of Kogi state, Idris Wada was involved in a ghastly motor accident in Lokoja.
Report reaching PREMIUM TIMES indicate that the Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada, was badly hurt in a fatal road accident on Friday and is in the intensive care unit at the Kogi State Hospital in Lokoja, the state capital.
Unconfirmed reports said Wada may be in coma at the SMC where he was rushed to.
The accident reportedly occurred after the governor and his convoy were returning from an official assignment.
Mr. Wada was on his way back to Lokoja from Ayingba, where he had gone to attend an Education Summit.
Unconfirmed reports said the accident occurred as a result of a burst tyre.
Reports also said the governor’s Aide-de-Camp, ADC died instantly at the scene of the accident.
A driver to was believed to have been killed on the spot as well. But another report said the driver merely sustained injuries.
There has been no official statement yet on the incident. Efforts to reach Jacob Edi, special adviser of the governor on media and strategy failed as his number was unavailable.

since d creation of kogi state, deres no worthwhile development in d state. does it means dat allocation has not been given to past governors or which level? none of dis greedy states governors wud go unpunished its not yet over until wen u( state governors) change from ur greedy ways.

It's not a big deal. there are hundreds of accidents happen on our roads all the time and several persons lost their lives while other are being maimed for life, so i don't know how this one is becoming a breaking news..... I wish the Governor and all that were injured in the accident quick recovery and RIP to the dead ADC.
