Gunmen Attack Primary School, Kill Four Teachers, Injure Pupils

 A number of gunmen around 10am on Monday shot dead four teachers and injured four pupils in separate attacks on two primary schools in Maiduguri.

In the first attack, witnesses said that three gunmen stormed Ali-Alaskiri in Mafoni ward of Maiduguri and shot dead a teacher at the school while a pupil was injured by a stray bullet.

In the second incident three teachers were shot dead by another set of gunmen while three pupils were injured by stray bullet when gunmen attacked Sanda Kyarimi primary school, sources say.
Both pupils and teachers have deserted the schools as a result of the attack.

JTF spokesman Lt Col Sagir Musa is to issue a statement on the incident soon.
