In a recent chat with ENTERTAINMENT EXPRESS NEWSPAPERS LAGOS, controversial Nollywood actress, COSSY ORJIAKWO revealed her secret love for Nigeria star player, Mikel Obi. She also denied acting in a pornographic movie and that her parents are proud of her.

What have you been doing lately?
I have been doing a lot of things. Just recently I floated a company called Play Girls Resources Limited. I have been working round the clock to make sure we start business as soon as possible. We have a record label in it, we have a production department and there are plans in the pipeline to add a fashion outfit to it which will be called Play Girl Fashion.
When did you act last in a movie?
That was last month when I featured in a movie called B24 but it is not yet out. Denrele and Chacha also featured in the movie among other top Nollywood stars. The movie was produced by Emmanuel Ehumadu. Before then I did Behind The Mask and currently I am doing Corpers Lodge. Though I am not that regular I am in the thick of action once in a while.
What is happening to your music career?
I just released an album entitled Nutty Queen. The launching took place on December 15, 2012. It was launched in the company of a few friends of mine. It was a big party even though we did not throw it open to the public. The launching was actually organised by my friends. They didn’t want the press to be involved so that there will be freedom of expression.
Have you ever been asked to sleep with a director or producer to get a role in a movie?
I am just not the kind of person you say that to. I am the kind of person you say “hi, I like you” and before you get to the next word I will scream and say “Waooooh....Listen guys, did you just hear him? He said he loves me and is dying to touch my boobs.” The person will be embarrassed and ashamed of himself. Maybe that is why I have been avoided by such film directors and producers. I don’t mix business with pleasure.
Have you ever had an embarrassing moment on set?
Yes I have. That was during the shoot of Itohan and all the controversies that trailed it. There was this scene I had with one Egyptian dude where we were acting as if we were making love and in the process my blouse was torn and my boobs popped out. Unfortunately for me, the producer failed to edit that part of the film which to me was an embarrassment. There was nothing I could have done about it. I am an easy going person. I take life the way I see it and whatever I cannot change I let it be.
Do you have a boy friend?
That is personal. It is not for public consumption.
So when are you planning to get married?
I cannot marry myself. When I get a proposal then I will consider it. For now, nobody has proposed to me. I am still waiting for the right guy. Whoever he is should come along with a diamond ring. You never can tell.
But it was rumoured that you had a romantic affair with one of the Super Eagles stars who planned to take you to the altar, what happened to the relationship?
There is no iota of truth in that story. The most annoying part was that they said the footballer bought a house and car for me and now I want to change my car. How can they say somebody bought a car for me when there is no car. I wish I will drag the footballer to the car showroom so that he can buy me a new car. Honestly, there is nothing like that. I am not that close to these footballers.
Who is your favourite Nigerian footballer?
(smiles)I don’t want to mention names. Whenever I am watching a football match instead of enjoying the game I derive joy in watching how the players’ ‘thing’ dangle in their shorts and their muscles too. It’s romantic indeed. It trips me and you know what it means and the consequence…
Which of the Nigerian players have you watched in action that tripped you?
Okay here you come again. I won’t mention his name but I can give you a clue by mentioning the name of his club if you insist.
So what is the name of the club?
It’s Chelsea.
Is it Mikel Obi?
I think you should be talking about Mikel Obi.You might be absolutely correct. I will say yes if you think you guessed right.
What do you like about Mikel?
He is a cool and handsome dude, you know. During the Nations Cup which Nigeria won he emerged as one of the sexiest footballers in South Africa.
So you are tripping for him?
I have said enough so it is left for you to sort it out.
Have you ever met Mikel one on one before?
I have not, but I am looking forward to meeting him on a good day.
What is your opinion about actors/actresses marrying themselves?
I don’t see anything wrong with it if they are in love. Such marriages have all it takes to be successful because they will be in a better position to understand themselves as husband and wife in case one of them found himself or herself somewhere shooting a film for two or three months. They can even go together for the shoot. It is good for those who can manage it but for me I doubt if it can work for me.
Some say they like having athletes as boy friends and husbands because they are strong. Have you ever considered this?
I have not. When I meet guys I don’t think of having them as husbands. I only think of just being platonic friends with them. You have to start from somewhere before getting married. I have never looked at somebody and thought of him being my husband or anything like that. It is the character that matters and not the personality.
Did you ever play any sport during your secondary school days?
I used to run when I was in the secondary school but I was forced to stop because of my big boobs.
How do you mean?
You know when you have very big boobs like mine it dangles up and down while you are running. It makes my boobs to fall aside and slows down my speed. Sometimes it’s embarrassing. It is not a very good thing especially for busty ladies like me.
Our teeming fans will be interested in knowing why you like flaunting your Bosom s in the public?
It depends on my mood. I don’t do that all the time. Tell me the truth if you have noticed it hanging out since you have been around? I feel good flaunting it when I am partying. Sometimes I just feel like being naughty. It’s not a crime. My album is entitled Nutty Queen, so once in a while I feel like going crazy.
A lot of people are of the opinion that your boobs are not natural, can you use this opportunity to clear the air?
I don’t owe anybody any explanation for having big boobs, at the same time people should not be deceived. My boobs are natural. It is a gift from God. I inherited it from my grand mother because she has very big boobs. My mum has big boobs too but it is not as big as that of my grand mother.
How true is the story that you sacked your ex-boy friend because he failed to buy a Range Rover Sport for you on your birthday?
It’s true but that was a long time ago. He just called me one day and said “Baby, I’m getting you a Range.” Sometimes I wonder why some men make promises they know they won’t fulfil. Perhaps they want to show they belong when they know they don’t belong. It does not make sense. I would have reasoned with him if he had come to say “Sweet heart, look I don’t have that kind of money to buy a Range. I was just joking about it. Please I am sorry.” We would have continued the affair, but making it seem as if he was making issues out of it was being too childish. I did not sack him, rather he sacked himself.
What would you like to change about yourself assuming God decides to give you an opportunity to do so?
Forever young. I feel 16 year-old in my mind. Age is a thing of the mind and if I keep on reasoning that way I will remain forever young. The body must get old physically but mentally and spiritually, I am forever young.
We gathered that your parents have disowned you as their daughter, what happened?
My dad and mum have reacted to that story. Few weeks ago they granted an interview to the press threatening to sue those behind the story. I heard about the story too but “na them get their mouth.” I am close to my parents and they are proud of me. There was never a time they disowned me. I love my dad and mum and they love me too.
Can you throw more light on the story that you were involved in a pornographic film where you had sex with a dog?
The pornography film story is not true. When you hear stories and there is no concrete evidence to back it up it means it is a rumour. However, the story of having sex with a dog was not far from the truth. On the dog story, yes I did a Nigerian movie entitled Itohan. It was directed by Chico Ejiro. It is the same movie I had a sex scene with someone and then my boobs showed and it was not cut out. If you feel the movie was pornographic and not a Nigerian movie you guys should go and sort it out. It’s an old movie so I wonder why people keep on creating unnecessary scene out of it.
In the movie my character was a prostitute, there was a particular love and rape scene I had with an Egyptian guy. While we were in the bed making love my boobs fell out and the editors forgot to edit that particular part. It is still the same movie that I had a scene with a dog. I was told to do that part with the dog so when I saw the dog I had to hold the dog on my back and started acting as if we were having sex.
At the end of the day, my character died in the movie because I was infected with HIV. The message of my role was that when you trade your body for money you will be infected by HIV and end up losing your life.
