Man held for ‘defiling eight-year old girl’

A  fifty seven-year-old man, identified as Raphael Omada, has been arrested by the police in Edo State for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old girl.
Omada, who is married with six children whose ages ranges between 18 and 30, told reporters that it was his first time.
He spoke when he was paraded by the police at the weekend.
The offence was committed two weeks ago at Owan West Local Government.
Omada said he hails from Nsukka in Enugu State and that his wife and children went to the farm when he lured the girl into his bedroom.
He denied sleeping with her.
It was gathered that the victim’s elder brother noticed her unusual movement and reported the case to their mother.
Also, Omokojie Clifford was paraded for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl.
Clifford said the girl consented to his advances.
Commissioner of Police Foluso Adebanjo said the suspects would be charged to court for child molestation and abuse, after investigations.
