Renowned Lagos based make-up artist and CEO of Ewar Make-Over, Adenike Ogungbe, has passed away. Nike died this afternoon in a hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun State just a day after giving birth. She gave birth early Tuesday morning, fell into a coma (she actually never came out of the anesthesia given to her) and died this afternoon. Her baby is fine and healthy. Nike's last Tweet below.

Nike was only 32 and is survived by a husband and her new born baby girl. Truly sad.

No wonder these celebs go to the US or the UK to give birth.
May her soul rest in peace..Amen.

Another unecessary death of a new mother during childbirth in Nigeria. Will the doctor or the hospital be probed. I doubt it! The report states that she did not wake up from the anaesthesia - terrible!

The Nigerian lady who gave birth to quintuplets in England, in 2011, and cost the NHS £20,000 is probably on her knees now - thinking that cheating to get medical care in England was the best option.

A real pity. Another motherless baby in Nigeria. May her soul rest in peace.
