Relationships are generally tough to manage.

Its hard managing your friends and family and even tougher managing a spouse who you have to live with day in day out for years to come.

I believe that humans are built to be self centred by nature so in selecting a spouse we tend to choose convenience over compatibility.

Men in the old days were more interested in innocent (good) girls, then later on it was innocent educated good girls, then educated classy girls...today most men just want a pretty upwardly mobile woman and prefer if they come from a wealthy home as icing on the cake. Its pretty much the same for women.

In essence it has become obvious that "Romance without Finance is a Nuisance".

That is why a key fundamental ingredient for most marriages has disappeared from our society....RESPECT.

I believe there can be no LOVE if there is no RESPECT.

That may explain the high divorce and separation rates in our society.

Then we can consider the ripple effect of the same lack of respect and regard across both families of husband and wife.

In short if you have a man or woman you are eyeing that gets married to someone else, you can almost bet that you will get a shot at being with them within 2 or 3 years because by then their marriages would have hit the rocks. I hear of marriages lasting 2 months..men is that a premature ******** or what? I don't think I've had any relationship that short sef.

Do not think that the people who are celebrating 15 or 20 year anniversaries have had it better than you...most have had it tougher but they have stood up straight, with their chin up and pulled through out of desire and determination.

Some of them are happier now than they ever were. Others are living a lie and just coasting on after deciding that a loveless marriage is better than being divorced.

There is no perfect person in the world..neither is there a perfect relationship.....and that is a FACT. So find someone who you can RESPECT and LOVE so much that you can't imagine being with anyone else. That should be the minimum requirement for marriage.
