NDLEA Arrests Popular Reggae Artist In Abjua, Seizes 25 Bags Of Illicit Drugs

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), FCT Command, has reported the arrest of Joel Onyenwoke, a popular reggae artist with 25 bags of the banned substance. The fifty-year-old musician was arrested in Abuja.



Mr. Peter Adegbe, the Public Relations Officer of the NDLEA, has disclosed the appropriate statement.

The statement said that the 25 bags of the banned substance, suspected to be cannabis sativa, weighed 208 kilogrammes.

It stated that NDLEA operatives, acted on a timely intelligence report and raided the house of the reggae artist in Aso ‘A’ Mararaba, Nasarawa State.

It added that the suspect would be charged to court after the ongoing investigations.
