A fraudster, whose major tool of trade was a feminine voice which he used to mask his real one to better lure his victims, has been arrested in Lagos.

The 23-year-old man, whose most common victims were young women whom he promised non-existent jobs, has been apprehended by men of the Lagos State police command.

According to reports, the suspect paraded himself with several names such as Joseph Sarumi, Akeem Ahmed and Femi, thus his real name is still a mystery.

The suspect, whose father has a manufacturing company in Lagos and mother is an immigration officer, was said to have fooled and defrauded his victims by promising them ushers’ jobs at the Oriental Hotel, where Nigerian ace musician, Lagbaja, was supposedly expected to play.

One of the criteria to qualify for the job was for the girls to come to a particular hotel around Adeniji Adele area with N5,000. They were also expected to hand over their BlackBerry phones to Femi, so that he would ‘upload the password’, which would facilitate their entrance into the Oriental Hotel on Victoria Island.

Once the girls handed the phones over, Femi would disappear. As if collecting their money and phones was not enough, Femi sometimes convinced the girls to sleep with him.

Detectives said Femi had been getting away with his game for long because he used a female voice, while speaking with the girls on the phone to fool them.

Detectives believe that Femi had duped hundreds of girls, if not thousands, but the suspect insisted that he had barely practiced the scam for three days. Femi was arrested after one of the victims, Fatima, played the same trick on him.

Some phones have been recovered from him, while some of his victims have stormed Adeniji Adele Police Station, where he was arrested and detained. He would soon be charged to court.

Bross , what's the point of starting an unnecessary fight?  keep the "Yorubas "  out of this ,
There's no for the generalization ! Unless you're ready for the blow-back , lets keep the peace .
