TRUTH ABOUT ASUU.

Having waited this much in anticipation that ASUU will listen and heed to the plead of well meaning Nigerian (parents & teachers) to call off the lingering strike that is about 3 months old now, but to no avail, it's time we hold the bull by the horn.

ASUU solidarity song pointing accusing fingers at politicians, tagging them with corruption also betrays ASUU'S deeds. Stated here are some of atrocities of the so called ASUU.

1. It is only in Nigeria University that ASUU decides the fate of students without seeking their own opinion. ASUU are answerable to Nigeria students whether they like it or not, why would ASUU go on strike without consulting the students in their various Universities or the student body(NANS).? For crying out loud we paid school fees, students should have a SAY in the on going strike, so who is ASUU fighting for?

2. It is only in Nigeria University that equipments for students are being colonized by the lecturers and are being use for their personal job (work). E.g. Check our surveying , geology departments. Now, whenever students are in need of that particular equipment they tell them to rent outside. If you are not faithful in little, how can we trust you with much?

3. ASUU is exaggerating it's relevancy, they keep saying they are society builder, have they forgotten the primary and secondary schools teachers? They deserve to be paid more than these lecturers because they work more. Some lecturers will enter lecture room ONCE in a semester and expect the students to perform well whenever tests and examination are conducted. Primary and Secondary schools teachers are the foundation of a good society, ASUU are eating readymade food.

4. Truth is politicians are siphoning our money, so is ASUU. If not why is it that students need to protest before their welfare is being taken care of? If primary and secondary schools teachers or every sector resort to strike because politicians are looting. Who will work and how can the country progress? ASUU body patriotism to this country is questionable.

5. ASUU wants
earned allowance for all lectuters. Even though they are not entitled to it, that's unfair. Not all lecturers do participates in supervision of SIWES and PROJECTS. So what is it ASUU?

6. It is only in Nigeria Universities that lecturer's sees students as though slave to them, if not, why would they be dictating dress code for tertiary institution? Some lecturers go to extents of slapping students. They are victimizing our students. ASUU be sincere who are you fighting for?

7. It is only in Nigeria Universities that numbers of first class and second class upper graduates are being regulated. In fact, some lecturers are wicked to the extent of giving students grades like this, they would say; A ( belongs to God), B ( belongs to the lecturer), C ( belongs to any student that studied hard), D, E & F ( belongs to the rests of the class). Technically  they are saying no students can have A in their courses. They enjoy dropping potential first class to second class. 80% of Nigeria University lecturers are sadists. Their hobby is failing student.

8. It is only in Nigeria University that there is no mutual communication between lecturers and students, the so called ASUU restrict the liberty of Nigeria students to the extent that there is no functional STUDENT UNIOISM. STUDENT UNION's are suppose to fight the cause of the voiceless and the oppressed students but reverse is the case in our universities, as any student union officials that wanted to speak against their dictatorship leadership will be rusticated.

9. ASUU keeps comparing budgeted allocation of miliyary regime to civilians(democracy). Back then in military regime , our universities have no structure on ground then but now at least we have something. So, why would you expect same huge allocation?.

10. Where was ASUU when Governor Fashola successfully commercialized education in Lagos State University?

11. Some parents worked tiredlessly to sponsors their ward, hoping their should graduate and be mobilized with this year batch C but its impossible because of  lecturers greed and selfish intrest.

Like and Anglican Church Primate has rightly said, lecturers in public Universities strike because there are inadequate equipments. Yet, they are found in private Universities lecturing during the strike. And we all know public Universities is far more equipped than the private Universities. We understand the simple fact that we do not need theoretical oriented graduates anymore  but there should be other ways to press your charges. If you asked me what are the ways? I'm given as an assignment to be submitted on Monday.....rack your brains and do proper consultation there must be an answer, aside strike ( lecturers favorites quotes).

However, most of our lecturers are theoretical; some even pressurized students to work on their own project topics  needed for them to bagged doctorate degree. Who is corrupt?

Aftermath of this industrial action embarked on by ASUU is bad, endangering our youths, an idle hand is the devil's workshop. There's being increase in crime rate since ASUU strike started; fraudulent act, segxwal assault e.t.c are order of the day. And most time those involved are students of the striking Universities. There was even a case of a lady that wad killed by armed robbers while at homr because of strike. ( Don't tell me it's her destiny ).

ASUU are doing more harm than good. ASUU should stop posing as saviour to Nigeria students as we know their fight is all about their allowances. Stop brain washing Nigeria students and heed to the clarions call of patriotism to resume back to your various place of duties or else we will asked President Jonathan to do what Governor Fashola did to Lagos State Doctors to you lecturers.

ASUU are raising issue of poor funding, my question is even if more money is being pumped into Universities, do they have machinery in place to tackle corruption within the system ?, that will ensured that the money pumped won't be looted. PHCN suffered the same fate.

ASUU have a rethink and call off the strike. Enough is Enough.
