CAC Pastor Assassinated In Benin City: Armed Robbers Killed Pastor Philip Afemik

Pastor Philip Afemike is dead. The zonal pastor of Christ Apostolic Church aka Mountain of Blessing assembly located in the capital city of Edo state Nigeria has been killed by some masked gunmen believed to be armed robbers.

The faithful members of the church located at 121 Jamila st in Ikpoba Hill area of Benin city were thrown into mourning on Saturday morning after they discovered some armed men who entered the Pastor’s residence on Friday night had killed him.

Mrs Dennis Dupe, the younger sister of the killed CAC pastor claims the attackers came into the church compound on Friday night and shot him dead in his sleep.

According to Dupe, the mystery behind the gruesome murder of Pastor Philip Afemike is yet to be unraveled.

Area residents blamed Benin Police officials for negligence in the attack that lasted for hours.

When the suspected attackers stormed the church premises, residents called police, but the police arrived at the resident, did nothing and went back to their station to report that nothing had happened and the area was peaceful.

Several church workers reportedly sustained serious injuries in the attack.

The injured have been taken to a local hospital while the Pastor’s corpse was deposited at the mortuary.
