Day Old Baby Girl Found Dead At Ikorodu Roundabout In Lagos

The day old baby girl was abandoned Thursday at a road construction site in the Ikorodu roundabout, Lagos.

According to eye witnesses, the baby, with placenta and fresh blood, whose body was wrapped in a lace material, may have been delivered by an unknown woman during the early hours of the day, and dumped by the road side.

Passers-by who gathered to catch a glimpse of the lifeless body of the baby gave diverse accounts of the incident.

While some said the baby was discovered alive but died before help could come, others maintained that the baby was already dead by the time it was discovered at day break.
