JUST IN: NNPC Supplies 209 Million Litres In An Attempt To End Fuel Scarcity

PRESS STATEMENT

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has revealed that over 209 million litres of premium motor spirit otherwise called petrol has been discharged in Lagos ports in the last 24 hours.

In a press statement issued to Journalists, the Acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Dr. Omar Farouk Ibrahim said all hands were on deck to return normalcy to the fuel supply chain in the country.
Dr. Ibrahim informed that several vessels have being allocated to the Major Marketers Association of Nigeria, MOMAN, to wet the nation with products adding that NIPCO, CONOIL and others also have their vessels discharging to clear up the queues.

“ I can confirm to you that the NNPC has allocated additional vessels laden with pms to MOMAN and other suppliers and they are currently discharging the products at Atlas Cove, Apapa, IBM jetty, Capital Jetty and SPM jetty in Lagos,” Dr. Ibrahim affirmed.

He disclosed that other vessels were also discharging fuel at Port Harcourt and Oghara in Delta State adding that the queues will thin out in the next few days.

The NNPC spokesman reassured Nigerians that the NNPC was doing everything humanly possible to wipe out the queues from filling stations across the country.
