A man in Lagos has been arrested and charged after he reportedly poured faeces in the apartment of his father’s tenant.
23-year-old Lukman Alausa is said to have poured the excrement in front of one Jennifer Ani’s residence and also in her passage.
Alausa also allegedly chased Ms. Ani, a tenant of his father’s, with a machete.
According to Vanguard reports in Alausa, a bricklayer, is facing a two-count charge of disorderly conduct and perpetuating harmful acts. The prosecutor, Cpl. Babaje Ishiaku told the court that the accused committed the offences at 7.30 a.m. on April 23 at his apartment.
Ishiaku said Alausa also conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by chasing one Ms Jennifer Ani, his father’s tenant, with a machete during an altercation. He alleged that the accused polluted the premises by emptying a bucket of faeces at Ani’s doorstep and passage.
The the accused may be sentenced to three years imprisonment on conviction. The accused, however, denied the charges. The Magistrate, Miss Oluwatosin Fowowe, granted the accused bail in the sum of N20,000 with a surety in like sum. The case was adjourned till May 15 for trial.
