Look guys i have said it before u have a corpse for a leader. i mean was he in his right sense when he gave out 2 of his daugthers as third wives? What do you think he can do as per the niger delta issue? Until those in the power house who are now throwing stones in a glass house are wiped out, yar'adua will remain toothless.
Now the PDP knew what it was doing when it chose Goodluck as yar'adua's running as it was a sort of decoy to make us think they have the Niger delta at heart but, even as a Deputy governor, he was just at the beck and call of the PDP.
Tupac said it in one of his songs that "will there ever be peace", "one healthy mouth but, with no well fare".
Nigerians should be aware that, Yar'adua is not the Leader of the Country but, some coded individuals who decide Nigerian cases in a beer parlour and bring the residue to the waiting public for fairness to make it seem like they are practising democracy.
Now, the militants have switched gear from oil bunkering to kidnapping which used to be of foreign nationals but, now it is those who can pay.
This new means of kidnapping Nigerians who are relatives of top dignitaries is instrumental to them achieving their goal. Let noone get them wrong because, it was the same boys the PDP used in rigging the 1999 election who have turned back at them. ( Is that not a case of nemesis?).
When it comes to the Niger Delta, leave yar'adua out of it as he could not take charge in his home is he now the one to take charge and champion the niger delta course?
Don't quote me wrong but, i feel it is high time illiterates take charge because, we have have both educated and over-educated people who have stirred the ship of this country and have lost focus. To solve the niger-delta struggle, let the government go back to the 1999 niger-delta summit in Abuja and see what went wrong and until people like Edwin Clark are taken out of the picture, I feel it is a case of misplaced priority

Thank you my brother.

The so called amnesty to the so called militants in the Niger delta is only a temporary cosmetic solutions (if I can call it that) that will not bring about any qualitative cum quantitative improvement in the standard of living of the people of the delta. I am not totally against it given that it will bring about a remote semblence of ceasation of hostilities. However, as long as the fundamental questions that gave rise to the crisis of instability (that they call militancy) is not addressed, there wont be any headway in this issue.

yes, mr president is not sincere in some issues and i think his advisers has started decieving him. This is not the Yaradua we know at first.

even due he is slow in action, but he was transparent in most issues den, but now i will say without researvation dat he is not sincere.

The likes of CBN governors appointment, the power problems, signing of freedom of information since the upper and lower legistlatures has given approval, his recent call to investigate the killing of Boko Haram leader.

Also the issue of amnesty he granted to niger delta is to enable him win the mind of international communities, cos sending mllitry and killing of inocent souls as he tried ealeir is tantamont to sanction from international bodies cos he is killing civilians innocentlly.

He shld hav a rethink and deliver this country fast, not only giving his daugthers as amaria to all the governors in the north

I'll continue to say Yar'Adua is anything but sincere in his so called quest to solve the Niger Delta cris. If he meant business, Lukman, his minister of Petroleum Resources- a Northerner- will not have said the PTI in Effrun, Delta State will not be upgraded to a Petroleum University(though the Obasanjo Government promised to upgrade it) because they are about to establish a Petroluen University in Kaduna, where there is not even a drop of oil. Yar'Adua is just playing games.

After amnesty, what's next? What are his plans for the peaceful people of the land? Don't they also need a package? Or don't anybody notice that the violence in the Delta also affect those who are not militant? Or does one need to carry guns before getting any attention?

Ya'radua is trying his best. A tree cannot form a forest, we without d co-orporation of others, he can't do it alone.

Wrong and wrong. He ain't trying nothing. And even if he was, his best is not in the same zip code with good enough. And on that your parable, I also disagree. Who says a tree can't make a forest? A good and fruitful plantain tree can make a plantation in time.

MEND has resumed hostilities. This is due to their conviction about Yar'Adua's insincerity and lack of commitment to addressing the Niger Delta Crisis. Enough of Amnesty.
