The QUESTION should be -why does OUR government put us through this? We hear Nigerians hiding in the wheel carriages of foriegn aeroplanes, trekking across the Sahara desert, risking their lives on over crowded boats in the Atlantic ocean, pretending to be gay just to leaveNigeria!
We may have been the happpiest people in the world some years ago but now we are the saddest and amongst the most desperate.

most of these people have convinced themselves that they can't make anything of themselves as long as they're in Nigeria. When they travel out, they are ready to work as hard as ......(doing things they would otherwise refuse to do in Nigeria) just to make ends meet. After about 3 years hard labor, they'll come back with dumb ass accents and their life savings to deceive all the girls in their village either with money or the promise of taking them abroad only for them to return alone to their slave masters for another 3 to 4 years hard labor. If most of us were willing to work as hard in Nigeria as we work in other countries, or to obey laws here as we do when we travel out, Nigeria would be a much better place. We spend so much time blaming the government for all our woes that we hardly ever see our shortcomings. Until we show ourselves worthy of good leadership, we would continue to get the kind of leaders we deserve.

you completely correct...The annoying part of it is that our government don't seem to care or want to improve the lives of its citizen..Can you imagine a country that has been pumping oil out of its soil for the last 50 yrs..There is no oil producing country in the world where its citizens are trooping abroad like Nigerians are..you hears of Nigerians even in countries that cant stand up to us in natural wealth...shame! shame! shame !
