The first photo of the ECOWAS diplomat pinpointed by the Rivers State government for knowingly taking the deadly Ebola virus to Port Harcourt has surfaced online. Olubukun Koye was named as the man who avoided quarantine in Lagos and instead went to Port Harcourt to seek treatment from a doctor who died shortly after.

According to THISDAY sources said that Koye (a primary contact of the index case, late Liberian Patrick Sawyer) defied instructions not to leave Lagos after being placed in the isolation unit. Koye’s selfish & reckless act was discussed at the Federal Executive Committee meeting on Wednesday and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation Mohammed Adoki was directed to look into the Nigerian laws and see how he could be sanctioned for his action that resulted in the death of Enemuo.
