Plateau State Police Command has paraded a man who had sold his wife to ritual killers for N800, 000 in his bid to get rich quick.
State Police commissioner, Nasiru Oki who paraded the suspect, revealed that one Maimako Shephang of Kwalla village in Shendam local government area of the state had in August this year, at about 3.00pm lured his wife who was identified as Agnes to the bush and on getting there, handed over her to two masked men.
After her husband had left, the men asked her if she was a spinster or not. The lady informed them that she was married and that it was her husband that handed her to them. She was then told to run away from the place because the spiritual sacrifice they intended to carry out requires a virgin.
The police later arrested her husband and an intermediary between him and the ritual killers. Upon interrogation the man confessed having received N400, 000 and was awaiting the balance.
