APC Pulled Out Of Presidential Debate To Save GMB — Okupe

Known for his twitter drama, the Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe is at it again.

This time, Doyin Okupe has taken a swipe again at the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Party, APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and his party for boycotting the presidential debate organised by the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG).

Okupe said APC boycotted the debate to save Buhari from shame, as he does not have record of performance, education and eloquency needed for a debate to match President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

He tweeted; “If APC didn’t withdraw from the debate they would have been stupid. Their candidate has no record of performance. Neither is he educated nor eloquent”.

All Progressives Congress (APC), Thursday, says it will not participate in the ongoing public debates on national television and radio stations organised by the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG).

It alleged that the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG), co-ordinating the debate, was fraught with fundamental errors from the outset, according to a statement signed by Malam Garba Shehu, the Director Media and Publicity of the APC Campaign Organisation.

The statement said it decision to boycott the debates ”is because of the unhidden bias and campaign of calumny by some key organisers of the programme against the corporate political interest of the party and its candidates”.

You’d recall that Dr Doyin Okupe earlier this week admitted that he expected the All Progressives Congress (APC) to be a dead party by now saying that he had said in December 2013, that he would change his name if APC still existed after one year due to what he described as lack of leadership deficiency shortly after it was founded.

Honestly, I am not against or rooting for any of the presidential aspirant but one question I want to ask is this" How can a man who promised to jail all corrupt officials be involved in forged o level certificate mess"? I believed that Buhari's ceritificate was forged after his own daughter's statement apart from the fact that it is very difficult for the school he attended in Kastina to still keep the records of 1960s set results considering the fact that Nigeria is not using computing system to keep their results. Buhari should be jailed for forgery bcos police arrest ordinary citizens for same thing. Nobody should be above the law. period. GEJ should also go to jail for admitting that there is massive stealing not corruption in his adminstration.

I need change and i love APC because they stand or possitive change as a party, but i dont like their presidential candidate.Buhari can never change NIGRIA for good.he is only out to take the presidential power that was taking from them through late Yaradua by GEJ back to the North

I couldn't help but agree with you... CHANGE is the word and that can only happen if power is finally taken away from the forever power hungry PDP. I don't like Buhari neither do I like Jonathan, they're birds of a feather. Buhari killed this person and Buhari killed that person, yes he's a killer but what makes Jonathan different. Can anyone here give me a total count of the dead people in the NORTH since the rise of BH? The whole world would think we're very stupid to continue with the same president who doesn't care where the missing girls are. Yes, let's assume that CHIBOK missing girls story was a hoax, what about the recent ones. The small boys being taken from their parents everyday,who end up as suicide bombers. Okay, let's also assume Buhari is in charge of BH, why can't Jonathan defeat him right there? Why? He's got all the resources to do it.Yet billions of dollars and Naira get missing everyday in Nigeria, all that money that would wipe out BH to zero if used for that purpose. Buhari killed, Jonathan gives no spoon about the thousands of people dying everyday in Nigeria and it's spreading. Under same Jonathan, Asari Dokubo has equipped himself asking for war. Or have we all forgotten the Arms and Ammunition . So what am I saying.. The only way this country can change is simple, get PDP OUT OF ASO ROCK.....!!! They're sinking Nigeria. If APC ends up being a mistake, we'll get burned, learn and move on, we've been patient with Goodluck for too long and nothing is changing. It won't hurt so much to try something different. Buhari can never Islamise Nigeria, not in this era and not in the next, cos and attempt at that would be his downfall.
