#WorldCupWarmUp: FIFA World Cup 2022 To Kick Off On November 26

Despite the alleged corruption controversy that took centre stage following the award of the hosting rights of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar, the FIFA committee responsible for picking dates is going ahead with the planning.

The task force has confirmed that the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament will kick off on Saturday, November 26, 2022 and end on Friday, December 23, 2022. The tournament, which is usually played in the middle of the year, has been shifted because the weather will be more bearable in November in Qatar than in the traditional June/July period. According to reports, the head of the Asian Football Confederation, Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa, who is equally the head of the task force, confirmed the kick-off date of the tournament today, Tuesday, February 24, 2015
