Reports says that  over 45 persons have been killed and most residents displaced, in Egba Village in Agatu Local Government; following a vicious attack by Fulani herdsmen on the unsuspecting villagers in the early hours of Sunday, March 15th. The attack by the insurgents, according to local sources, began at about 4am when Fulani assailants stormed the village, killing their unsuspecting victims, most of whom were fast asleep, after which they razed the community, destroying economic trees, food barns and farmland. The Fulani herdsmen were said to have gained access into the community from Loko in neighbouring Nasarawa State, and started shooting and breaking into people’s houses, hauling down whoever they met, including women and children, leaving behind a death camp. According to a source, about 90 corpses have been recovered with many injured as search and rescue efforts have been ongoing to help survivors of the attack. However, while confirming the killings, the Benue State Police Commissioner, Mr. Hyacinth Dagala, said that his men have arrived the village to restore peace, but could only confirm the recovery of 30 bodies from the scene. He said that further information would be made available as to the actual casualty figure, when his men file more reports from the scene.

Agatu is the strongest PDP base in Benue and the people are hoping to produce the next deputy Governor under the platform of the PDP, could these frequent attacks have some undertune knowing fully well that the attackers had always been alliegn with the present Nassarawa State Governor who is an APC chieftain, Nigeria politics is actually deadly as innocent humans are constantly used as shield by our desperate and evil minded thiefpoliticians. Almighty God will expose and destroy all those sponsoring these jihadist causing sorrows all over the country. RIP to the dead. I want to challenge all of us the IDOMAS to see this invasion as a slap on our face and we must stand to defend our own, our leaders must support the Youths to push these animals called fulani out of every part of IDOMA LAND since they are not human including their leader  Buhari.any touch on any part of IDOMA is a touch on all IDOMAS and we must stand to defend our Nation @ONEIDOMA, UNITED WE STAND
