It seems the latest fad in the Nigerian entertainment scene is for celebs to go abroad to study film.
Celebs such as Banky W and Dr. Sid are some of the celebs who have studied directing at the prestigious New York Film Academy.
The Mavin Records star graduated from the institution last week, while Banky W showcased the music videos he directed at NYFA in January this year.
Rapper Ikechukwu has followed Dr. Sid and Banky W by attending NYFA. The rapper will not however be learning how to be a director rather he is taking acting classes.
The former Storm Records act posted a picture of an 'Acting For Film' sign on his Instagram with the caption "Early Class is kicking my ass . #nyc #nyfa #CANTSTOPWONTSTOP."
Ikechukwu has flirted with acting before heading to NYFA. He acted in the short film 'The Wages' directed by Walter ‘Walt Banger’ Taylaur which won the Best Short Film category at AMVCA 2014. Ikechukwu also nabbed a recurring role in the second season of 'Gidi Up'.
