Grinding Machine Drags And Kill 12-Year-Old Girl in Bauchi

A 12-year-old girl, Aisha Baba was on Wednesday killed by a groundnut grinding machine in Bauchi State.

This was contained in a statement released by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, on Thursday in Bauchi.

According to the statement, Aisha Baba was killed on Wednesday in Jama’are Local Government Area of the State, when her dress got stuck to the grinding machine fan-belt thereby dragging her against the machine.

The police spokesperson said, “On Wednesday, April 15, at about 10am,one Aisha Buba (12), of Galdimari district in the Jama’are Local Government Area of Bauchi State was sent by her mother to process groundnut at a nearby grinding machine site.

“Unfortunately, the machine fan belt hooked her clothes and dragged her against the machine. As a result, the victim sustained serious injuries.”


He further stated that a team of police officers patrolling the area rushed to the scene and immediately took her to the Jamaare General Hospital where she died while receiving treatment
