Ex-Super Eagles forward Garba Lawal is currently embroiled in a N29.8M scandal from his time as General manager of Kaduna United.
Lawal has been accused of not being able to properly account for the sum of $150,000 (N29.8m) paid by Celtic as part of a 20% sell on clause inserted in the deal that took Efe Ambrose to Ashdod of Israel.

The accusation came from the Chairman of Kadunna United Sabo Babayaro who revealed that the sum was paid last year.
Babayaro revealed that the sum was paid into the club's dollar account but went missing from there.
“The money was paid last year into the account and from the transactions on the account it was withdrawn but for what purpose I don’t know as presently there is no documents on it,” Babayaro revealed on Liberty Radio Sports Ride, an evening show on 91.7FM anchored by Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman.
“Garba Lawal is the only one who can explain what the money was used for as I found out upon resumption players are yet to be paid 12 months salaries.
“How can you have such money and yet fail to pay people who sweat for the name of the team?
“I also discovered from the bank that he placed himself on a salary of 2 million Naira in three months, point to note here is that in my stay as the team chairman have never been paid a dime as salary.”
Babayaro's claims were supported by the media officer of Kadunna United, Uba Ibrahim who insisted that only Garba Lawal Lawal can answer and explain what the money was used for.
“I don’t even know about the money, I’m hearing about it now, only Garba Lawal can explain what he did with the money,” he said on same programme on same station. Sl10
