Ghana forward Andre Dede Ayew has completed his free transfer move from Marseille in France to English Premier League side Swansea City.
Andre was with the club the past few days discussing his deal, and the deal was made official by the Welsh club today.
Ayew has been a mainstay of the Black Stars since his 2008 debut, and has gradually risen through the ranks to his current position as vice captain of the side. There is no doubt he’s certain to be a future captain of the Stars.
Ayew would bring his never say die attitude and significant talent to the English Premier League, widely considered the best in the world. The only disappointment might be that he hasn’t joined a higher profile club, but it wasn’t for lack of suitors so he probably has his reasons for this choice.
The deal is subject to Ayew receiving clearance to live and work in the UK, but for most high profile footballers that’s merely a formality.
Dede would wear Swansea City’s number 10 shirt.
