A woman whose pastor husband was involved in the kidnap of another pastor has claimed that her husband, Pastor Godwin Adiele, is a ritualist.

Anthonia Onyinye Adiele made the claim in an affidavit she lodged at a Lagos court seeking divorce from her husband of 11 years.

Anthonia said she is now in hiding with her nine-year old son after she escaped from the Pastor’s house.

She claimed that the pastor was attempting to use her and their only son, Gospel Ozioma Adiele, for money ritual.

Mrs. Adiele claimed that one day, her husband called her and told her that he had vowed that he would be a billionaire and live in his own house before he clocks 40 years. The pastor is now 39 years old.

“Since then, he had been behaving strangely and as his wife, I have no access to his bedroom which is always shut,” she stated.

The embittered woman said the desperation to get rich made her husband to change drastically and he started engaging in occultism and rituals, bringing all sort of charms into the house and the church.

She said that she was afraid to reveal the atrocities because her husband had earlier threatened to cast a spell on her that will make her mad.

She said all the years she had lived with the pastor, she had been prevented from relating with her family and her husband’s relations.

“When his wicked attitude continued, I had to escape with my son to save our lives,” she explained, adding that if she had continued to stay with him, “he would have used us for whatever rituals he was preparing.”

Pastor Adiele is currently facing trial at the Ejigbo Magistrate’s Court for alleged kidnapping.

He and 51-year Pastor Joseph Atoyebi of Anointed World Ministry, Lagos were alleged to have kidnapped Pastor Chidi Ebube for leaving the church “after knowing too much.”

The victim was abducted along Igando road and imprisoned at Pastor Adiele’s house at 1, Bishop Godwin Adiele Crescent, Power Line, Isheri Idimu, Lagos for three days.

Narrating his ordeal to P.M.NEWS, the victim said he joined the church thinking that the mode of worship and doctrine was in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ, but he discovered that the church was into rituals, and he did not like it.

He explained that when discovered this, he decided to leave the church quietly but they kidnapped him and compelled him to take an oath not to disclose what he had seen and learnt about the church.

He was, however, lucky as he escaped from where he was chained and ran to the Igando Police Station where he reported the incident. The police arrested the kidnappers and charged them to court.

Pastor Adiele’s wife, Anthonia has gone to the family court in Ikeja, Lagos, seeking to divorce the pastor. In the suit number FC1/16/09, the applicant prayed the court to restrain the respondent from interfering with her life and that of her son.
