I am sure that if MORE Nigerians complained to the police about kidnappings we would be ranked much higher. But htere is no trust in our police force.
Once these kidnappers THINK they can make money out of you and your family - they strike.
Look at the father of Chimanda Adichie, the world famous author, her father was kidnapped from his local area.
The family went to the Nigeria Police for help. They were told by the Nigeria police that the Adivhie family had to purchase a tracking device before they could help them.
As far as I am concerned many policemen have a hand in the kidnappings going on in Nigeria. They hide behind those they send to do the dirty deed!

Nigeria ranked with Afghanistan. Terrible. At leats there is civil unrest in that Afghanistan whilst Nigeria is in "peace times!"
