Christians Flock To See Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus That Appeared on a Window Pane in Ukraine

The alleged appearance of Virgin Mary and baby Jesus in a window has seen dozens of faithful Christians flocking to a small village in Ukraine.
A double-glazed window had been put up during construction of a house in Beregovoy, western Ukraine, at which point the Virgin Mary 'appeared' on the pane.
As devout Christians, locals took the image of Mary and Jesus as a sign, and began praying to the window.The house is also said to be warmer than the other buildings and ‘exudes a calm presence by spreading positive feelings’, according to members of the community.
Church elders, who have allegedly refused to comment on the phenomenon, have allowed the window to be taken from the house and displayed at the village church.Now every day priests hold special services, praying to the glazed icon inside the church. The bloody war with Russian separatists has claimed many Ukrainian lives and the images have given people hope that one day peace will come. However, some Russian critics from St Petersburg have cruelly pointed out that the desperate Ukrainians are simply ‘praying to a double-glazed window’.
