Nigeria has a lot of luxurious real estate locations and properties. These sites are very valuable and expensive. Here are five of them, most of them in Lagos, the business hub of the country.

Lekki Scheme I, Lekki in Lagos State- There is no doubt that Lekki is a very luxurious, very expensive area. This is because a lot of the elite live there, from celebrities to very rich people, hence the price rate. Properties are as expensive as 140 million naira.

Ikeja GRA in Lagos State- As the name 'Government Reservation Area (GRA)' implies, this area is very expensive. You will find very wealthy Nigerians and expatriates here living in very large houses. Houses go for as high as 250 million naira.

Banana Island in Lagos State- This is a man-made island off foreshore of Ikoyi in Lagos. The name 'Banana Island' comes from the slightly curved design of the island. A lot of companies and firms are located here including Etisalat Nigeria, Airtel Nigeria, and Ford Foundation Nigeria. The island has a lot of wealthy residents like Mike Adenuga, billionaire owner of Globacom and oil exploration firm Conoil, and Iyabo Obasanjo, the daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Houses cost at least 450 million naira.

Maitama in Abuja – This is one expensive real estate site as there are a lot of embassies and high commissions. You can get a property for 430 million naira.

Asokoro in Abuja – This area is a major district in Abuja, in real estate, this translates as a gold mine. Popular buildings like the Nigerian Presidential Complex, also known as the State House, Aso Rock, the Economic Community of West African States, (ECOWAS), National Intelligence Agency and the World Health Organization (WHO) office. Expect nothing less than 418 million naira for a property here

Are the residents who live here immune to ALL the Naija chaos that blights everyday life?

If the answer is "no" - I will stay where I am.

If the answer is "yes" - I'd rather do an "Andrew" & check out!
