Seems ethnic war is creaking in between Yorubas and Igbos in Akura state, Oba Of Akure made a very spiteful remark about the Igbos in his speech yesterday:

Quote
DEJI of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo has accused Igbo residing in the city of alleged insubordination to his authority, just as he accused them of violating the people’s traditions.

Besides, the first-class traditional ruler alleged that the Igbo residing in the city have no respect for him and the culture of the city.

He alleged that Igbo traders in the city often violate the culture and tradition of Akureland while discharging their duties, stressing that efforts to caution them have failed.

Apparently worried by the alleged violation of his order by some Igbo traders in the city, the Deji, who spoke through the Asamo of Akureland, Chief Rotimi Olusanya alleged that the Eze Ndigbo of Ondo state, Sir Gregory Ilehohika recently embarrassed him and some of his chiefs inside his palace.

Reacting, President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Ondo State, Chief Okechukwu Okorie said the Igbo living in the state are law-abiding and peaceful, adding that the Igbo respect their traditions and those of other tribes.

He said the Igbo leaders who went to the palace of Deji of Akure to honour his invitation were beaten by some irate youths numbering over 200 at the palace.

He said the Deji was being misinformed by some individuals on the activities of Igbo people in Akure and the state at large.

The Deji of Akure should direct his accusation of treason and insubordination charges to his own people, for beating up law
Abiding citizens who honor his invitation to his palace. I'm not surprised because when thugs become traditional ruler he loses
The respect of his people and the only group around him are his thugs. Akure people are loving and peaceful citizens of Nigeria,
They will never support this bad behaviour of beating up guests in their Oba's palace.
