Chief Raymond Dokpesi, the chairman of DAAR Communications PLC has been released from Kuje Prison, after meeting his bail conditions.

According to ThisDay Newspapers, the court registrar verified and confirmed the various documents submitted by the sureties before Justice Gabriel Kolawole signed for his release.
Reports say the media mogul allegedly received N2.1b from former National Security Adviser,Sambo Dasuki.

Dokpesi on December 14, 2015, appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja to face money laundering charges, and subsequently granted bail with some conditions to fulfil.
Following his inability to meet his bail conditions, he was remanded at Kuje prisons.

The AIT chairman was asked to produce two sureties with N200 million each to fulfill the bail conditions.

The presiding judge, Justice Gabriel Kolawole, also said the first surety should be a serving or retired director in the civil service while the second surety should be a private investor who has paid tax for at least the last three years.

Dokpesi was also instructed to submit his international passport.

Chief Raymond Dokpesi was the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) 2015 national conference organising committee.

Seriously i dnt knw our problem in this country. i dnt knw why they have to give him bail, he suppose spend nothing less 20years in prison for him to knw its not gud to be looting money. If its someone that not have anything in this country committ this kind of crime they will send him to unreturnable prison. That is why Oyinbo people better than us, If you mistaktly steal money or commit any crime, prison will be end of it and no going bck.
