A poor mother in the northern part of Nigeria has given birth to twin babies fused together from the waist and are currently seeking the assistance of Nigerians for the financial upkeep of the children.

The conjoined twins were born in Tondo of Miya in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, over the weekend.

According to Aminu Bombiyo who shared the photos, the twins were delivered at home before being brought to ATBU Teaching Hospital Bauchi. Their mother, a poor Fulani nomad named Adama Sani is seeking for assistance from well meaning Nigerians.

A beautiful set of twins but sad and painful story. I say sad and painful because Nigeria lacks the medical and social facilities to save the lives of these conjoined twins!

And i expect the hospital that delivered the twins have NO help or support to offer. Its a pity that this happened to them.

Other quesrions are - are they sharing the SAME vital organs (heart, lungs, kidneys etc). They shoukd NOT be discharged from hospital UNTIL a package that can support this family is put in place. For example they will need specifically sown clothes etc.

Many conjoined twuns have survived AROUND the world and are getting on with their lives.

I pray that these beautiful twins are given that chance.
