A self-acclaimed Group Lieutenant of the Nigerian Army, Ajedegba Benjamin Agatefe, was weekend, paraded in Delta state at the 222 battalion, Sector 1, Operation Pulo Shield.
The suspect also claimed to be an army chaplain and a presiding priest of St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Enwhe, Isoko South Local Government Area of the State.
According to the suspect, the day he was arrested was the first day he put on the uniform to settle a case between his younger sister and her husband.
He said he wore the uniform in order to calm any uproar that could come up as a result of his presence.

Parading the suspect, the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, 4 Brigade, Captain Jonah Unuakhalu, said that men of the 222 battalion led by the Commanding Officer, Lt. Col. Mathew Oyekola, on his occasional patrol, arrested Agatefe in full Nigeria Army Number 6 dress (camouflage).
Briefing newsmen at the 222 battalion base, Unuakhalu said the suspect claimed that the uniform was given to him by Gen. Rev. Okundayo on his appointment as the Delta State Director of the organization.

Quote
“The suspect made the claims during an interview with the Commanding Officer 222 battalion, Lt. Col. Oyekola,” Unuakhalu said, adding that the suspect had claimed to be a member of one organisation known as Missionaries Army/Navy Chaplaincy under the leadership of one General Rev. Ezekiel Okundayo Ajedegba, who resides in Lagos State.
“When the army conducted a search at the residence of the suspect, two pairs of blue uniforms and accessories, photo frames, a pair of black boot and calendars of the organisation were found in his home.
