Woods 'treated for sex addiction' Tiger Woods has reportedly checked into a rehabilitation centre to treat an addition to sex.
Woods, the world's number one golfer, has been in hiding since a string of extramarital affairs came to light which have left his marriage to Swede Elin Nordegren on the rocks. A number of media sources in the United States reported that Woods has checked into the Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services clinic in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Officials at the clinic will not state whether Woods is at the centre, whose facilities director Dr Patrick Carnes is thought to have pioneered treatment for segxwally compulsive behaviour.
However employees and visitors there told a news station in Jackson, Mississippi that Woods, who is taking an indefinite break from golf, had checked in.
Treatment at the clinic lasts an average of six weeks.
Woods's life has been in turmoil since he crashed his car outside his home in Florida on November 27.
Party hostess Rachel Uchitel came forward to claim a series of segxwal encounters with the American while he was on tour - and a succession of women followed suit.
Father-of-two Woods issued a belated statement admitting "infidelities", adding that he wanted to become a better husband, father and person.

Are we not worse off? How many of us have been caught as infidels with evidence to prove yet still deny it? We can cast stones now but remember that when your own come heaven will cast rocks at you bcos what you give you will recieve, so if there is any thing we can do to help this man and many that are involved please let's do bcos we all are prone to temptations.
