"A lawyer, Miss Tayo Ojo, told Daily Sun: “I don’t think it is a crime because there is no written law about prostitution being a crime. I think they get harassed because of indecent dressing. Morally speaking, prostitution cannot be justified, whichever way you look at it. The only basis the police can presently charge prostitutes is for the breach of Section 183 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria, by constituting public nuisance. Arresting them is just a way of reducing their number on the streets.”

My learned friend here - Miss Tayo Ojo is absolutely right...there is no way the govt can stop prostitution in the FCT,what they can only do is to stop them from streeting and have a camp!lol...It is part of the city life,as a city without a mad person is incomplete,so is prostitutes. Cool

the gov should look for a way to rehablite them
You rehabilite "broken people", there's nothing wrong with these girls they know exactly what they are doing.

there is something wrong with those ladies, they have psychological problem, something leads them to prostitution, they
are sick, unless they're been treated b4 they could recover from the illness. I pray that the lord will touch their heart one
day, and help them in making decision.

How would u feel if your sister is into prostitution? as you said is "their body they're using not any1 else" whereas the bible say
we should all present our body as a living sacrifice.

It think the Ekelebe(police) in FCT should redirect their energy to finding the President who has gone missing since Nov. instesd of chasing helpless girls around in Abuja.

Thats it!Whoring is bad but we've got bigger fish to fry in Naija!Half of these wh*res are economically strapped. So if the economy is improved and there are better jobs, half of them will go and the remaining half who can.t seem to keep their panties or G-strings on can be taxed, sued or whatever action n that the Minister of FCT so desires.

Greed is not a psychological problem, wanting to survive again not a problem, loving ur job, not a problem. Prostitutes are from all different backgrounds, they are not all from poor backgrounds, most of there were not molested as kids, they choose to do what they do becoz 4 them it pays.
