Let us pray: These are often the words of every Nigerians.We pray for every things that need not to be pray for.A Nation blessed alrady by God, we still have to pray to have what God has already given to us.This is where we are calling the name of God in vain as the bible says;
 thou shall not call the name of God in vain.We pray for drinkable water when we are surrounded by water.The few privelleged have access to this while millions are not.We pray for NEPA to function while the politicians in their segregated quaters  are having twenty four hours  daily electricity supply.This only exist in Nigeria where the law makers are having their special quater-and open apparthide in same country. We pray to be paid after six months of working, while the leaders even get millions of Naira as allowances for thier up keeping. We pray to have fuel at the stations while the leaders are having their special stations to fill their cars. We pray for our children to have a place in the universities despite passing the so called JAMB, while the children of politicians are having free access even if they are not with the pass mark, and many are been sent abroad for studies. We pray for good health system while the leaders have abandon the hospitals and travel abroad for treatment. Even pensioners pray for their gratuities to be paid after six months. We pray for the nation football team to win when the good players are left out. We pray for American and Europeans Visa when the requirements are not meant. We pray to be rich when we are not hard working. We pray for the nation to be great where there is no system and fundations. Ahba my brothers, what are all these prayers for? We know where our problems lies but we divert our attentions to oblivion. We are all to be bold to form a defensive movement to fight for our rights from the hands of our leaders who are in charge of the state affairs. God cant come down to fix up all these things that i have just mentioned. There is no prayer and miracle to all these rather than to be bold and start manifesting every now and then to the authority. WE SHOULD BE ASKING OURSELVES WHY MUST WE HAVE FUELS SCARCITY?, while we are bless with petrol, ask questions for power failure, bad roads, poor water systems, paying no wages to workers as for when due etc. All these problems are in the hands of men and women and not God. God loves us thats why he gave us oil, good climate  and brainds etc. If we cant make use of all these things is it God that is coming to tell us how to use them? Let us look back to the history of the Europeeans, Americans and some parts of Asia through various revolution. Nothing will change in Nigeria till thoes holding us back start facing their penalty. I know many of you that are set to be christians will see my opinions as radicals and ungodly. But we living in Europe and America know the fact that they too suffer from thier leaders through bad government, corruption and lack of human rights. But the people never just wait for prayer to solve thign out. Rather, actions was taking pragmatically, and what follow next we all know as well. Awake my peolpe thou shall not call the name of God in VAIN.

Prayer is necessary for Nigeria because there are more people that curse Nigeria and Nigerians.  I give God glory that there are still people that bless and pray for Nigeria.

There are definitely more that curse Nigeria.  If we could be of one accord and pray for our country and our leaders instead of cursing our nation, we will definitely see positive results because it is from that strength that we will in one unity bring about changes either peacefully or violently.

Until we all stop cursing Nigeria and our leaders, things will not change.  The bible commands us to pray for our nation and our leaders.

We have been cursing our country and cursing our leaders.  What do you expect that with the same mouth you bless you also use it to curse what you prayed for?

God bless you.
God bless Nigeria.
God bless Nigerians no matter where they are on earth.
Hallelujah
Amen.

Look at America and why they are successful.  They are forever asking God to bless America.

Look at UK, they are forever asking God to bless them and to bless their Queen.

To mirror Europe and USA as you are suggesting, remember to bless Nigeria and our leaders always.  We can criticize them for changes in a democratic forum, by protest, etc., but we cannot stop following God's instructions to pray for our leaders.

We wrestle not against flesh but against powers and principalities of darkness.  We must wrestle against these powers of darkness by constant prayers and vigils for our leaders.  They are caged and trapped.  They joined the powers of darkness.  Only our prayers can break that bondage our country is in not violence.

yes mr omatu . you are always talk sensible with wisdom . here in nigeria we do alot of harms to our self than good , and because of a personal haltred for some one that happen to be in power at one time or the other , some other peoples or so many peoples will result to saying all sorts of things ,not realising that if you curses some one it catches him \her much more faster than compare to when you are praying for such a fellow , and moore over most of nigerians were inpatience even beyounds our boundary , i was ashamed at one time when a friend asked me that why is it that nigerians are always inpatience ,that if only two or three were to board a bus with the capacity of carrying a fifty perssenger, the will still be strugling to go in despite that they were just two or three , thats absolutelt madness , we need to be our brothers kepper , and the earlier we change our atitudes the better
