Police arrest 60-yr-old for molesting 3 children

KANO State Police Command has arrested a 60-year-old man, Abdullahi Muazu, for allegedly molesting three children, aged between three and five years, just as the command also nabbed a 25-year-old, Aliyu Bashir, for allegedly killing his two-week-old son on the pretext that the boy was  an illegitimate child.

This was disclosed on Monday in Kano  by  the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Gana, while parading 19 suspects arrested for different offences ranging from armed robbery, car snatching, manslaughter and possession of prohibited firearms, before journalists.

Among the three children allegedly raped by Muazu were two  pupils, who were said to have  been lured with money.

The commissioner however, explained that Bashir, on his part, after   impregnating a 20-year-old lady and the lady delivered a baby boy,  killed the child on the pretext that the boy born out of wedlock was an illegitimate child.

Four suspected armed robbers paraded were said to be members of a syndicate who allegedly masterminded and recently robbed the chairman of Tarauni Local Government Area in Kano State and carted away valuable property.

The CP also paraded two suspects,Walid Moh’d, and Lawan Moh’d who stabbed their victims to death with knife. While Walid stabbed Surajo Saleh on the stomach with a knife, Lawan stabbed one Nasiru Ahmed a-23-year-old, during a fight with a knife. The two victims died instantly .

Meanwhile, the 60-year-old alleged to have raped three teenagers denied committing the crime, saying he was framed up, “I did not committed any rape. I am innocent because some people framed me up,” he told journalists.
