News reports have revealed how the timely intervention of the operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) had saved the lives of a woman and her baby, foiling her suicide attempt. The reports disclose that the woman aged 27, had been trying to commit suicide by jumping into the lagoon via the 3rd mainland bridge with her 12-month-old baby yesterday, May 17, 2016. The woman had according to reports, been restrained by two Rapid Response riders from plunging into the Lagoon from the top of the 3rd Mainland Bridge. The reports reveal that the attention of the RRS riders on routine patrol, had been drawn by a A cab driver to the area the woman and her child had been spotted at about past 5:00 p.m.
Upon interrogation at the RRS HQ, the woman revealed how she had trekked from Medina Estate in Gbagada to the spot she had chosen for her suicide. She adds that she had heard a voice calling out to her to come to the spot on the Bridge from which she had planned to job, pointing out that she had decided to listen to the call because it had been repeated constantly and very loud. The woman discovered to be a drop out from the University of Lagos, also opened up to the RRS interrogators that before the incident, she had been having issues with her husband which had forced her to relocate to her parent’s house in Gbagada, Lagos. The reports reveal that the lady as well as her baby have been released to her relatives this morning.
I have been reporting for several years now and I am very interested in visual news reportage with strong inclusion of photos and video multimedia.

She is suffering from Schizophrenia. Quite a pity! She has to be treated by a qualified psychiatrist else she will continue the suicide attempt until she succeeds.
