 Nigerians, and the world, awoke to the shocking news of the death of football legend, Stephen Keshi at the age of 54.
Keshi, a former coach and captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles died of a cardiac arrest in Benin City, capital of Edo State a state in southern Nigeria. He had no previous history of heart disease.

News Stephen Keshi’s death comes as a shock to his friends and Nigerians, Africans, and people around the world have taken to social media platforms to extol him for his contribution to Nigerian football.
Stephen Keshi is the only Nigerian who has won the African Cup of Nations as a player and as a coach.
