There Is No Solution To The Current Hardship Faced By Nigerians - Sen. Ali Ndume Reveals

Senator Ali Ndume has said that there is currently no solution to ameliorate the hardship being experienced by a large percentage of Nigerians. Ndume said that drop in price of oil at the international market and vandalism of oil pipelines by aggrieved militants in the Niger Delta had plunged the nation into hardship

“Now the issue of people suffering, especially in terms of the cost of living is well known and no leadership can pretend that it doesn’t know this.

“But the question now is, is the solution there and is deliberately being refused? The answer is `no’.

We are a mono-product economy, the price of our dependent source of income
which is oil, went down from above 100 dollars to below 30 dollars at one point and it is now gradually trying to recover.

“That is our major source of income and even when the price was recovering a little, the issue of Niger Delta Avengers cropped up.

“Pipelines were blown up and production went down from 2.2 million barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day or even less,’’ he said.
Ndume called on Nigerians not to lose hope in the present government, assuring that things would turn around for better soon.

Are we a mono-producing country, is it not harmful to wait for high oil prices. So we should just sit down, complain and wait for the world to dictate what we earn.

Wait o, why are d northern leaders crying over d avenger bombing d oil dat is in their region. Don't they have anything to show or contribute to dis country in their region? Must all of them direct all their attention to d south? No wonder dat clueless president of theirs is d petroleum minister.
