SWANSEA CITY VS LIVERPOOL
         12:30 PM WAT
          01/10/2016

It's been another busy day of speculation and pre-match build up at Swansea City today as Francesco Guidolin prepares his side to take on Liverpool.

We've heard from Guidolin and Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp ahead of Saturday's showpiece and we've looked at how the Swans might stop Liverpool's Fab Four in their tracks.

Rumours linking Guidolin with the sack won't go away unfortunately, with the likes of Bob Bradley and Ryan Giggs linked to the top job at the Liberty.

Defensive frailties remain a weak spot for Klopps Reds and Swansea will want to hurt the visitors on Saturday lunchtime when they can.

With the likes of Adam Lallana, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in attack, the Swans are unlikely to keep Liverpool at bay, so may opt to sting the Reds on the counter through the pace of Mo Barrow and the guile of Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Swansea will monitor defender Federico Fernandez, who missed the defeat by Manchester City last weekend because of a minor groin problem.

Winger Nathan Dyer remains out with an ankle injury.

Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren sat out the win against Hull with a virus but is now fit and could return in place of Ragnar Klavan.

The Reds will assess Belgian striker Divock Origi, who is nursing a minor foot problem.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Swansea head coach Francesco Guidolin on whether defeat could end his tenure: "It could happen. Maybe.

"But if we win on Saturday for the period of the international break you don't speak any more about my position.

"But my position is not important, Swansea's [league] position is important, and we must get a result."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "We will be prepared for this game. We know about the quality of Swansea. We lost there last year after coming back from Villarreal.

"We had to make a lot of changes at Swansea last season. In that moment it was too much for us.

"Now we have no excuses. We have time to recover, time to prepare and time to analyse."

Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho has scored eight Premier League goals from outside the penalty area since the start of 2015, more than any other player
