The media has been left awashed since hours ago when news broke out of sudden retirement of influential pastor and the Redeemed Church head, E.A Adeboye. Adeboye had pioneered over the church affair in a pastoral career which stretch over a period of 26 years, before this recent turn.
Whereas Pastor Joseph Obayemi has been named the new G.O, but who is the Joseph Obayemi:
He was the special assistant to Pastor Adeboye on Finance.
He was a deputy in charge of Finance.
He is the Pastor in Charge of Lagos Region 2 Headquarters.
He was promoted to the position of Assistant GO in August, 2016.
He joined the governing council in 2014.
He has been representing the church at National CAN meetings. And,
He is head of Homeland missions.

He is only in charge of the church in Nigeria. He is the new National oversea to cover technical issues that may arise from guidelines governing institutions like churches mad mosques. Meanwhile Baba remains G/O of the church world wide.

Big respect goes to Pastor E.A.Adeboye,A truly chosen man of God.He pivoted and guided Rccg to worldwide ministry .Diverted from churches old ways of neglecting average worshippers by embarking on housing programmes at affordable prices for all .This man is truly the image of God !
